Patented Thin Air Toggle Presses
BTM's Patented THIN Air Powered Toggle Presses produce high forces using shop air pressure. Compact and quick acting, toggle press models are available from 1 to 40 tons. Many mounting styles are available for machine building applications, including Equalizing models. Bench & Floor Press models are available for use with die sets or special tooling. These presses feature a fully enclosed mechanism, non-rotating ram, and BTM's unique thin profile for close mounting.

How it work
| BTM's patented THIN Air Powered Toggle Press uses a unique rotary rectangular piston driving a toggle ram & linkage. This mechanism produces high output forces using 80 psi (5.5 bar) shop air. As the air pressure causes the piston to rotate through its arc the toggle is driven over center, multiplying the force. |  |

Features
| The THIN profile of BTM's Air Toggle Presses allows for close stacking. These simple, rugged machines have only three moving parts. A unique, pivoting, rectangular piston drives the non-rotating ram through a force multiplying toggle linkage. The quick acting mechanism reduces air consumption as compared with conventional pneumatic cylinders doing the same work. BTM press bodies are are constructed of lightweight aircraft aluminum and hardcoated to a Rockwell C-70 for excellent wear characteristics |

| BTM Equalizing & Reverse Equalizing Presses provide additional motion to facilitate part loading & unloading, and can further simplify your automation building process. These units employ a small air cylinder to move the press into & out of position in order to clear the workpiece. Equalizing models are used where the punch is mounted conventionally in the ram. Reverse Equalizing models are used where clearance dictates the punch to be mounted in the anvil. |  |
